"Know your opposition, and the environment within which interaction will occur."--Sun Tzu, The Art of War
Knowledge of the legal system, a professional and compassionate approach to its clients and cases, and a strong connection to community define Geoff Heim, Attorney, LLC.
Before practicing as a criminal defense attorney, Mr. Heim gained years of aggressive experience in trial law working as a deputy district attorney for the District Attorney Offices of Arapahoe, Douglas, El Paso, and Teller Counties. For the DA Offices of Teller and El Paso County, he worked as the Senior Deputy District Attorney, specializing in high-profile homicide cases and crimes against children, all-the-while managing a team of attorneys, investigators, and paralegals.
Having great success working on the prosecution side of the law earned Mr. Heim the coveted "Trial Hound" Award on four separate occasions for trying more felony cases than any other attorney in the El Paso County offices. These days, defending his clients from the city, county, and state, Mr. Heim knows the opposition inside and out, what to expect, and how to best counter and defeat the strategies of the prosecution.
Focused intently on cultivating the community of Colorado Springs, Geoff Heim has served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for "Safe Passage" (formerly the "Children's Advocacy Center of the Pikes Peak Region"), as well as the Western Region Children's Advocacy Center. For providing pro bono services for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ARC of the Pikes Peak Region named Geoff "Professional of the Year" in 2011.
Colorado is Geoff's home. A Colorado Springs Native, he attended Cheyenne Mountain High School, and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, before going on to obtain his Juris Doctorate from the Creighton University School of Law.
